About
This is the personal diary of Tiffany Miller. I’ve started this blog as a means to track my journey to my first Fitness Model Competition. Once a marathon runner, I became crippled by IT band syndrome. For years I spent thousands on physiotherapy trying to force my body to do something it wasn’t happy doing. Sadly I had injured myself to the point where the only thing I could do to recover was rest. After a year of resting I became skinny fat and depressed. Sick of myself, I finally got my ass to a gym and signed up for Highland Dancing Classes. If running wasn’t going to be my thing, I would find something my body could enjoy doing.
I immediately feel back in love with the gym. But instead of light weight training sessions followed by excessive amount of cardio, I decided to make my focus in the gym on weight training and light cardio. I loved it! I loved that it didn’t hurt (and by hurt I mean pain, not the good kind of muscle soreness) and I loved the feeling of my body getting stronger and my physique becoming more shapelier than it had ever been.
Being the type A personality that I am I needed another goal. I was back in shape and eating clean, but I wanted motivation to push myself to the next level (this is how I feel in love with marathoning) and so the idea of me entering a Fitness Model Contest one day was born.
So hear we are, a year after the idea of a competition first popped in my mind. I’ve got a trainer, a plan and a competition picked out and this blog will document my daily dieting, workouts and feelings along this path to the stage.
Cheers,
Tiffany

Thanks for your response Susan. I’m new to blogging, so my blog isn’t much more than a food diary at the moment, although I want to expand it. I look forward to following you on your journey! and you def have a fan in Ontario! We will prove that women with scars look hot on stage in their bikinis!

Amy,
I apologize for getting back to you so slowly. I’ve been a horrible blogger lately, but I do expect to start blogging more again. IT band issues are aweful. Sadly I waited too too long before I let mine heal and as a result I wasn’t allowed to do anything for a very, very long time. Thank goodness highland dance and weight training got me back into shape.
Cheers,
Tiff
